Calgary-based artist Tyler Los-Jones describes how his carefully-crafted sculptures of boulders encourage visitors to reflect on how The Banff Centre, and we ourselves, interact with the timeless geology around the campus. The piece also highlights the contrast between the actual world and the one we create and imagine.
'held above out heads in stone' is the first in a series of public art pieces commissioned by the Walter Phillips Gallery. It remains on display until May 2016.
